I can't wait to get back in the car

Barcelona, Spain: Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Paul is in Barcelona this week for the second official Formula One test. He will drive the Sahara Force India VJM05 on Thursday and Friday, taking over from team-mate Nico Hulkenberg.

"I flew to Barcelona today, and I can't wait to get back into the car tomorrow after the very positive test we had at Jerez a couple of weeks ago.
"We came away from that very positive. Our pace was exactly where we expected it to be, and our reliability — especially given we were driving the car straight out of the box — was fantastic.
"I know the guys back at the team's HQ at Silverstone have been working hard to develop the car further, and I'm looking forward to seeing what difference the changes have made.
"Certainly looking by the times we've posted over the first two days in Barcelona, we definitely appear to have pace.
"But I also know no one's getting carried away. This is, after all, testing, and all the teams are running different programmes at different times.
"The first time we'll get a true representation of how fast we are, when compared to the other teams on the grid, will be when we get to Melbourne for the first grand prix next month.
"Before that though, I know we have a lot of hard work to do over the next two days, and at the final test session back here in Barcelona next week."
